There’s poop in my back yard!

I’ve heard a lot of reasons for not wanting to buy a house.  I’ve been inspecting homes for several years and I’m usually not surprised by what I hear.  I recently had a home buyer that definitely topped them all.

Now, I will preface this by saying that septic systems definitely come with their unique issues.  But, if they are properly maintained they can be just as efficient and trouble free as a public sewer connection.  On a recent inspection I heard that a buyer’s basic issue with a septic system was that there will be “poop in the back yard”.  I must admit that it is a true statement and I really can’t argue with it.  Technically speaking, there is definitely poop in the back yard.
