I find this a lot on home inspections in the attic. A bath vent has been installed and it is vented into the attic and not the exterior of the house. Venting into the attic can cause problems because of the added moisture in this space. A properly vented attic may be able to handle it, but unless you know that for sure it’s best to vent it to the exterior and eliminate a potential problem. The photo to the right is of a vent hose from a master bath that I found on a recent inspection.
